Privacy Notice - Recruitment and Selection
CONTEXT
CATIM – Center for Technological Support to the Metalworking Industry has a legitimate interest in the protection of personal data, ensuring the safeguarding of the right to data protection. Such data is provided voluntarily and authorized by the data subject and will be treated confidentially, in accordance with applicable law and current best practices.
This privacy statement also applies to CATIM’s Careers page, available at www.catimacademy.com/carreiras for recruitment and applications.
CATIM is the Data Controller for the personal data it collects, whose full identification is provided at the end of this document, including the identification and contact information of the Data Protection Coordination Team (CPDP).
PURPOSE AND CONSENT
The information and personal data contained in a resume or similar document submitted by any candidate for an advertised position or as an unsolicited application, via email or other means, will be processed for the purpose of recruiting and selecting candidates.
By providing such information and personal data to CATIM, the candidate consents to the processing of their information and personal data by CATIM. Such information and personal data will not be sold or disclosed to third parties.
Any sensitive data provided will be processed for the purposes of recruiting and selecting candidates if it is relevant and pertinent to those purposes, provided that the data is provided based on the data subject’s consent.
RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
Candidates have the right, at any time and in accordance with applicable law, to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of their personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us via email at: coordenacao.rgpd@catim.pt.
Candidates also have the right to withdraw their consent at any time, in accordance with the law, and to file a complaint with a supervisory authority.
CATIM will retain the personal data of candidates for open positions for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and for 12 months following the conclusion of the recruitment and selection process.
In the case of unsolicited applications, CATIM will retain the personal data of candidates who may be included in ongoing recruitment and selection processes, or who fit into areas with a compatible skill profile, for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were collected. However, if the candidate does not fall into any of the situations identified above, personal data will be deleted within 30 days of receiving the application.
The data collected under this privacy policy does not constitute compliance with a legal or contractual obligation. However, if the candidate is selected, their personal data will be used to draft the relevant contract. The data collected will not be subject to automated decision-making.
The data may be used for profiling solely for the purpose of determining which candidate to select. If the candidate does not consent to being subject to a decision based on profiling, they must expressly state this or refrain from submitting an application.
CATIM has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration, unauthorized access and disclosure, and against any form of unlawful processing.
Employees authorized to access personal data are bound by a duty of confidentiality.
